Prof.Linghu graduated from the Fourth Medical University of Chinese PLA，China in 1985.As soon as graduated，he was assigned to the Chinese PLA General Hospital where he encountered endoscopy and found his interest in therapeutics endoscopy. In 2005，he first proposed Ling ABCD classification for biliary stenosis after liver transplantation based on the ERCP results，which could guide the diagnosis of obstruction and individualized treatment. In 2008，he proposed the LDRf classification for diagnosis and treatment of varices，which was adopted as diagnosis consensus by the Chinese Medical Association. Before 2009，his research focused on EUS，endoscopic treatment for gastroesophageal varices (EIS，EVL and HI )，ERCP and ESD. After his first case of ESTD in May 2009，his focuses transferred to the therapeutics of Tunnel Technique. He was the first to report STER(submucosal tunneling endoscopic resection) in animal studies in 2011.And in 2011，he proposed the endoscopic Ling Classification of achalasia to better guide the performance of POEM.He has published the first English book of Tunnel Technique in 2013，which was Therapeutics of Digestive Endoscopic Tunnel Techniqueissued by Springer.And in 2013，he was endowed the 2013 ACG International Award for his randomized clinical study on tunnel technique and the first prize of 2016 Military Science and Technology Progress Award.
