Dr. Lin Li has a long-standing interest in understanding the molecular mechanisms of Wnt signaling pathway. By studying the protein interaction network and its regulatory mechanism, he revealed the mechanism of Wnt signaling pathway playing a key role in embryonic development, tumor development and stem cell differentiation. A series of pioneering work has been done to enrich the understanding of Wnt signal transduction as an important developmental pathway, e.g. for the first time he revealed the molecular mechanism of Wnt signal transmitted from the receptors on cell membrane to cytoplasm, found that Dvl protein in mammalian cells can mediate a second signal pathway other than the classical Wnt pathway. He also reveals the mechanism of regulation of transcriptional complex in Wnt signaling. He has published more than 70 research articles in the field of signal transduction and enzymology, and the results are expected to provide new targets and potential lead compound for the treatment of tumors and related diseases.
