Wang Xiaoling, Chief Pharmacist, Associate Professor, occupies the post of Director of the Pharmacy Department of Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University, and Director of the Office of Drug Clinical Trial Institution. Prof. Wang has been engaged in pediatric clinical pharmacy, clinical pharmacology, pediatric drug rational usage and pediatric pharmaceutical service standardization fields for nearly thirty years.

During the past 10 years, she was responsible for the establishment of Drug Clinical Trial Institute of Beijing Children's Hospital, and helped 8 clinical majors to obtain the qualifications to carry out children's drug clinical trials. At the same time, Beijing Children's Hospital became one of the first batch of children's drug clinical trial institutes in our country, making it possible for Chinese children to participate in drug clinical trials. Up to now, 18 majors have been qualified for clinical trials, which will promote children's drug research and development and drug re-evaluation after the market greatly.

In research, she received funds from National 12th 5 year planning and over 10 projects collaboration with WHO, UN-pediatric foundation, NHFPC, CFDA. The funding in total is about 6 million CNY. In 2017, she was in charge of the sub-project of the National Science and Technology Major Project (Major New Drug Creation)”Children's Drug Variety and Key Technology R&D”project as a sub-project leader , and was responsible for the construction of the correcting and masking key technology and taste evaluation system for children's medication. The project aimed to resolve the clinical problems such as poor taste of drugs and poor compliance of children by using of taste masking technology, chemical masking technology, and physical taste masking technology and carrying out formulation modification and new drug development for children's medicines. She won the third prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress in the project in cooperation with Chinese medicine department,and published 5 monographs as the editor-in-chief and the main translation. Over50 papers were published by her as first author or corresponding author. She is committed to the research and teaching of pediatric clinical pharmacy, pediatric clinical pharmacology, and rational use of medicine for children. She has trained 4 masters and 2 of them graduated, and trained 1 doctoral student as a deputy tutor.

She is the Office director of National Health and Family Planning Committee (NHFPC) Pediatric medicine expert team, the member of NHFPC Rare disease diagnosis and Medicare guarantee committee and NHFPC Drug Rational Usage Committee Pediatric team. She is the Team Leader of National Pharmacology Association TDM Expert Committee Pediatric Team, the Deputy Team Leader of Chinese Medical Association Pediatric Society Clinical Pharmacology Team, the Deputy Team Leader of Pediatric Pharmacy Group, Pharmacy Committee of China Pharmaceutical Association Hospital.She is also the Deputy Head of the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism, Chinese Medical Association,and the Deputy Director of the Committee on Pediatric Use of the Pediatrics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.
